About Milford, Texas

Milford, Texas is a rural town of 700 people.  Located halfway between Dallas and Waco, Texas, Milford is one of the oldest towns in Ellis County.  Milford was founded in the early 1850's.  The founders were concerned about education, and they donated a number of town lots for the building of a school.

The legacy of past generations, the commitment of present-day Milford citizens, and the dedication of parents, teachers, administrators, and business and community members all combine to offer students in this area a top quality education a passport to the future.

About Milford ISD [top]

Milford ISD is a rural school district of 200+ students in grades PK-12.  The school and town are located south of Dallas, Texas in the southern most part of Ellis County. 

In addition to our excellent academic program, Milford ISD provides services for the following groups:

The vision of Milford Independent School District (ISD) is that all students will be challenged, successful, motivated to learn, independent thinkers, and problem solvers.  Milford ISD envisions a learning facility where students will achieve academically, explore their interests, grow mentally, morally, and physically through the school's academic, fine arts, athletic and vocational programs.

The Milford ISD administration and the entire school staff along with the community will act as mentors, guides, and advisors to the learning process in order to achieve excellence in all files of study.  Students will strive for excellence in all classes and extracurricular activities and be proud of the school they represent.  Parents will be a part of their child's education process in a positive and supporting manner at each grade level and all areas of endeavor.
